It’s been quite a week on the website. I see there was a lot of banter, questions, and even some good dialogue. I have received several inquiries over the week and felt with the recent explosion of activity I need to post some of my perspective.
I left the area on a scheduled vacation last week and believe it or not there are parts of this county that don’t have cell or internet servce. When i did get access there was simply far too much happening topically to respond in a meaningful way.
I did see there was an “explosion” of comments some of which were not constructive, so as a stop gap measure I placed the registered user requirement in place in order for people to comment. I am hoping this should not impact legitimate users too negatively.
In regards to some of the comments posted. There were several threads or questions where it was stated we need to move on, put things behind us. To some extent I would agree. It does us no good to stay in the past and keep rolling over the same material like the campaign flier when it has been answered properly. It is great that some Selectmen participate here but we should not expect them or anyone to keep tabs on the dialogue and participate, particularly in an official capacity. I suggest questions to the Selectmen be made directly at the Selectmen Meeting.
If you have opinion or a broad question feel free to comment on the articles on the website. If your are inclined I welcome people to write there own posts and editorials as some do.
I do think it is important that we question our elected officials and hold them accountable for there policies particularly given the track record and examples we have seen. If you see things you like, point those out as well.
There are some who would like to this website go away, while others that really enjoy the news, and informational exchange made available. I think the website provides a great opportunity to the residents and it will continue to cater to those people. The commenting will remain open on a registered user basis for the time being.
Mr. Gilpatrick did record this weeks Selectmen meeting and I will get that posted online once i get the film and the highlights together. (thanks Chris) This will take a few days.

thank you for the change.seems the imposter poster has either run out of names to use or doesn’t want his true identity revealed.he wouldn’t want everyone to know who he is.
