The new Civil War memorial was dedicated as part of the Memorial Day services this past Monday. It was great to see the damage caused by vandals the week prior completely erased and repaired so quickly. The many volunteers and local business have done a terrific job in putting the memorial together. Here are a couple photos for those who have not seen it yet. The area has been completely paved and a wooden fence erected to protect the turf and the memorial.
It is very pretty and the volunteers who fixed the destruction did a great job.
Although, they should have made a monument to ALL who served and/or have served. Although it probably would have gone all around the fire pond lmao………..
